When calling about an animal issue, it's helpful to have the following information ready: the exact location where the animal was seen, a description of the animal (species, size, color, any distinguishing features), the animal's behavior (aggressive, injured, trapped, etc.), how long the animal has been there, and any immediate safety concerns.
Response times vary depending on the nature of the situation and current service volume. Emergency situations receive priority response, typically within 60 minutes. For non-emergency situations, a specialist will contact you within one business day to discuss your request and schedule service if needed.
For non-emergency services such as wildlife inspections or scheduled trapping, we can arrange specific appointment windows. However, for response to reported animal issues, we prioritize calls based on urgency and typically provide an estimated timeframe rather than a specific appointment time.
We value your feedback about our services. Please direct any comments, concerns, or commendations to our Customer Service Manager at feedback@louisvilleanimalcontrol.com or call our main office at (502) 483-7387 and ask to speak with a supervisor.
For barking dog complaints, we recommend first trying to speak with your neighbor directly about the issue. If that doesn't resolve the problem, you can file a noise complaint with Harshaw Family Foundation Animal Shelter as they have enforcement authority for animal-related ordinances. As a private company, we do not have authority to enforce noise ordinances, but we can provide consultation on deterrents and solutions for a fee.
Yes, assisting with trapped or injured domestic animals is a service we provide. If you discover an injured domestic animal or one that is trapped or in distress on your property, please call our line at (502) 483-7387. We will dispatch a specialist to safely retrieve the animal and arrange for appropriate veterinary care if needed. As a private service, fees will apply based on the specific situation.
